We have a 6-month old Goldendoodle that seems to have a sensitive stomach. Most recently, we started her on a bland diet of ground turkey and pumpkin, and began slowly adding Blue Basics turkey and potato puppy food. She was previously on Nutrisource chicken based puppy food, and was subscribed Royal Canin GI by our vet after her first bought of diarrhea. She stopped responding well to that food, so we decided to try to switch protein sources. She was doing very well with the transition until we got up to 3/4 of a cup of Blue Basics dry food, 3/4 cup ground turkey and 1/2 cup of pumpkin. At that point, she started having access mucus in her stool, and had a few accidents in her room at night. After that night, we backed her back down to 1/2 of a cup of Blue Basics, 1 cup of ground turkey, and 1/2 cup of pumpkin, and she seems to be doing better again. Does anyone have any suggestions? Our goal was to find a dry food that works for her, but we can continue to feed her a the mix that is working if we need to. Not sure if she has a food allergy/intolerance, irritable bowel syndrome, and some bacterial infection. After the first bought of diarrhea, her stool was tested, and everything was negative. She acts completely normal otherwise, and has no other symptoms. Help!
