Jennifer this is aweful! Trying to be positive with this news is almost impossible. I can imagine that your brain is spinning right now trying to understand this and think of a way to get the care you know you need. I can only hope that you can go to the National jewish hospital, they can send for testing at the other hospital if need be and they can see what has been done in the past to evaluate the situation. Once there depending on what the medical situation is and what they can offer it may be that they will be able to help you make your case for needing to be there instead of the other hospital. Your plate seems extremely full. I hope you enjoy your mom moving in and the pup brings love into your life.

The blog thing doesn't interest me much. I don't know anything about blogs and I am happy on this forum.

The comparison shopping and venting is natural and hopefully not a permanent condition. I once said to a minister that had approached and said that he would say a prayer for me, that oh that's ok I don't need it, I'm fine. He kindly turned to me and said something like we can all use a prayer now and again. And in that moment I realized I was worthy of a prayer from someone who cared enough about me.

So I PRAY that all of us have the help of whomever they believe their higher power to be, to live a positive loving helpful life fulfilling as many dreams as we are able!

Oh, Jennifer, how frustrating this must be for you.  I will keep you in my prayers and hope you get your miracle.  Like Bonnie said it is the only thing I know to do in this situation.

I found out today that I was denied the chance to go to National Jewish hospital by the Medicaid state of SC. They deemed that I could in fact go there but not have any testing done, since they figure SC could do the testing. At best I will have to wait until my medicare kicks in in Feb. What this means for me?? I am declining, needing more oxygen and have a newly diagnosed damaged right side of my heart and have to carry around oxygen tanks on my back while I try to maintain a household  watch a newborn baby, try to sneak to work one day a week without my O2 because some dip s***, that works for the state that is not a medical professional has decided my medical fate. This is government run health care at it's finest... So now I sit, not knowing what is wrong, not a care plan how to fix it, not able to fly, travel or anything... I feel screwed. I am not normally a negative person.. but what a helpless feeling, I am a RN, who is very informed on the importance of preventing further damage and yet I am stuck here in shackles. I have not felt this helpless in a very long time.
