"Labradoodle Puppies For Sale!" My Story
I got my first labradoodle puppy, Rosco, 6 years ago. I remember scouring the internet for hours, putting in serious research into what would become my first dog as an adult. It was so exciting...and daunting! There were myriads of breeders advertising labradoodle puppies for sale. There was no shortage of cute doodle pups in just about every state it seemed. Breeder sites promised all sorts of fabulous things like no shedding, perfect companions. I plastered my computer with images of Bocker the labradoodle and had visions of hours spent snuggling with my future, perfect little furball.
But the more I researched, the more I realized I can't just buy the first cute labradoodle I ran across. No, it seemed there was a great variance in the labradoodle world: Different generations, different sizes, colors, looks! Soon not all labradoodle puppies for sale met my criteria because not all breeders were of the same level of reputation and quality. Some breeders didn’t charge very much money, but seemed to have slapped together a random poodle and labrador and called it good. Others charged a lot of money but didn't really offer more. Still others had all sorts of hoops to jump through and were not very good communicators. I soon discovered the importance of health testing and other important qualities to look for in a labradoodle breeding program. The more breeders I looked at, the higher my standards became. If I was going to bring a doggy companion into my life, a dog that would hopefully live 15 years, I wanted a healthy, well bred one! I only wanted to support a breeder that strived to produce healthy labradoodles of good temperament, not someone who was merely out to make a buck at the expense of the dogs in their care.
Eventually I decided on a handful of breeders that would soon have just the type of labradoodles I was looking for. They met the important criteria of health testing, good warranties, and excellent reputation. I highly recommend you read our article on What To Look for in a Breeder as you search and visit this page often to see the labradoodle puppies for sale as posted by breeder members of our site. While we don't screen breeders, so you'll have to research the ones behind each posting, we do have some excellent top notch, reputable breeders who are members of Doodle Kisses and post here. Please have a look and maybe soon you'll have found the furry companion of a lifetime! With careful research and an eye to detail I found my Rosco and he has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
