"Stacy and Karen, I am relieved to find out my doodles aren't the only naughty ones. If I look at it on the positive side they have taught us to keep our underwear and socks where they can't get them. No use tucking them deep into…"
"You could probably resurrect that conversation. Maggie is eating well, but she still gives me the stink eye if I don't crumble a treat on top. She'll lay on my lap for a piece of string cheese. But no treat in the world is attractive…"
"No. Allergies and intolerances are very specific. Under chemical analysis, a protein molecule from chicken is very different from one of turkey, or duck, or goose, etc., and the body can tell the difference. "
"He definitely gets his exercise. We live on half an acre and I'm home all the time. My 2 year old runs him tired 3-4 times a day. I figured that was more then most people that work outside the home and leave their doods home for 8-10 hours. I…"
"great. thanks again Karen. We'll try the topper first and if that doesn't work we'll venture out to the turkey formula (he did so bad on chicken I'm fearful to give him anything poultry. should i be?) "
"I mean he must be getting enough for his needs if he's not lethargic. :)
It's like picky toddlers/preschoolers... some of them seem to subsist on nothing but a few crackers and air for days at a time :p"
"Thanks! This was the part of the equation that was missing for me. Very important to know.

I'm a first time doodle mamma to Crosby. My husband and I got Crosby from a breeder in Texas at 9 weeks old and now he's a big ball of furry energy at 6 months old. We've owned a variety of dog breeds, but this is our first golden doodle. We've had a lot of questions that our vet is unable to sufficiently answer. So I'm hoping this forum will be insightful to our family :)
