"What Karen advised: ditto.  But I would also get a physical from his vet including bloodwork.  If he isn't feeling well, it could be adding to his unwanted behaviors."

Karen, Jasper and Jackdoodle replied to Haley, Yeti, and Phin's discussion Sudden Agression
"Well, less exercise plus less time with you plus a move could certainly cause behavioral changes. I think we have talked in the past about Yeti's tendency to resource guard and the Nothing In Life Is Free training philosophy. I think those…"

Sudden Agression

Hello all! It has been awhile since we have posted. It seems we are starting to have a major problem on our hands. Yeti (almost 3 years old) has recently started to become pretty aggressive. He has always guarded things of value (bully sticks and chews ect) so we simply stopped giving them to him. Every once in a while he would snag a sock or underwear and try to guard that. It was always easily managed by not giving him things of high value and by keeping things out of his reach. Well recently…See More

Frank & TeddyToyDoodle replied to Haley, Yeti, and Phin's discussion Lethargic after vaccinations

Actually, sounds rather normal from my experience.  But a good idea to start your relationship with your vet.  It couldn't hurt to get him checked out.  I think your long car ride was an excellent opportunity for some early bonding.  I was looking forward to a long car ride to pick up our new pup, but had to cancel this car vacation because of health problems in my husband's family.  I am going to fly up to get the pup.  We will still have plenty of time to bond.
