"It is all very interesting. It is like two completely different coats. Gingers thicker undercoat is darker and looks like if it gets long enough it will have a loose spiral curl. The lighter part is thin and wispy. I guess only time will tell what…"

"Our F1 mini goldendoodle puppy started fluffy but soon lost a lot of hair and became patchy with a darker undercoat and wispy blonde longer top coat. You can see the transition in the images below. I've also added another photo taken last week…"

Best way to keep her from jumping on people

Hi everyone. I am a new doodle owner and I need help figuring out the best way to teach Ginger not to jump on me or anyone else. She is 5 months old and just gets super excited when she first sees me when I get home from work, even at this age she practically knocks me down. Any suggestions would be appreciated.See More

"Clancy's undercoat was dark apricot with the top being cream. As he has aged, he has become a light apricot/cream. He is a goldendoodle.  My Ned is a multigenerational labradoodle, and at certain ages in his life, his coat was drker closer…"

Ginger is now 5 months old

Ginger is a F1b and just turned 5 months old. I keep looking to see if I can find a doodle with a similar coat to hers but have had a hard time of it. I think she is going to be a  wavy to curly fleece coat. I would love if someone with experience could chime in on it. Her caramel shorter hair is much thicker than the longer cream fluff. I welcome any comments.See More

Labradoodle. Her name is Ginger and she is adorable.

Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
My boyfriend wanted a Labrador and I wanted a pet that wouldn’t shed so much but would still love to swim. We live on a lake and having a dog that would enjoy the lake with us was important.
