today was meant to be THE day. I had a vet appointment with Benny to remove the stitches on his paw. We both were looking forward already to remove the stupid shoe he was wearing all time over his bandage and this would have meant: no leash, finally running around and playing rough with other dogs again and most important SWIMMING. But it all turned out different. The stitches were removed, but there are still some irritations which can get infected. Which means: outside still the shoe, no swimming, no rough playing therefore still on leash all the time. Explain that to an energy bundle of 11 month who hasn't been running for 3 weeks now. I feel so sorry for poor Benny.
And now stupid thing no. 2. On Tuesday night I took Benny on a walk around the lake. There are wooden bridges and it had rained so everything was wet and slippery. Of course I slipped and fell on one of the bridges. I fell so stupid onto my ellbow and I knew that something was wrong so we decided to drive to the ER. They did an X-ray and that said that they thought my arm was not broken but sometimes you cannot see on it. They sent me home and told me to come back if the pain didn't get better. I work in an office behind the computer so of course there was still pain and I returned to the doctor today. And guess what? Of course my ellbow is broken. So I am sitting here and writing this post for a very long time already, as I have only 1 hand left for typing. Obviously not my day today. So I better look at Isabella's litter pictures to cheer me up again.
A wave from a bandaged arm and from a bandaged paw from sad Zoe and sad Benny.
