Hi, I am a physician and believe the risk/ benefit of Frontline is weighed on the benefit side since Lyme is potentially so serious. Although he is only just over a year Luca has shown no adverse effects from Frontline and although I have found small ticks in his coat I have not found any attached ticks. My son's poodle did develop Lyme disease and I'd really like o avoid it. I did have Luca vaccinated for Lyme as well. hope this helps.
Hi Kim, I did some research, too, especially after the recent issues with Nutro, and found out it does have to so with the pits, leaves, bark etc. I even emailed Avoderm, and was directed to a safety report on their website. So I think everything is OK. Although my puppy guide does mention avacado as a harmful food for dogs. So I do appreciate your bringing that to my attention. Thanks for the compliments on Toby's pictures. I guess I get a little camera crazy with him, but I love to take pictures of him. He has weighed approximately 35 lbs. (give or take a pound or two) since he was 8 months old. But he has always been a light eater. Now that I switched him to the Innova/Avoderm mix, he gobbles his food up. He seems to love his food now. We no longer have to bribe him to get him to eat. It looks to us like he has gained some weight since we started this new diet last Thursday, I'll find out when we go the vet next week. I sure hope he doesn't gain too much! Hope all is well with Parris! She is as cute as can be!
Thanks for your compliments on Toby. I am glad to hear that you too are happy with Innova. Toby seems to love it! Toby has always been a very picky, and light eater. I was nervous about switching but he is doing very well on it. Regarding the Avoderm, I haven't read anything negative about Avoderm, but am interested in any info you can share as I want to be sure that I am feeding Toby the right food. Toby loves the new mix, but I will remove the Avoderm from his diet if there are reasons to believe it may not be safe. Let me know what you think.
Parris is adorable, you have some beautiful pictures!
