Bully stick snob

Cannoli is becoming quite the bully stick snob.  He loves them fresh and extra stinky.  If one is left out of the bag overnight it holds no interest to him however if we take one out of the bag it will keep him occupied for 20-30 minutes at least.  I get him a bag from Costco which has twelve 12-inch sticks for $30.  I'm sure a single stick would last him a week or more of dedicated chewing.  I'm now rotating through them rather than only taking the one he started on until it's finished.  Is…See More

"The walking training that works pretty well for us uses positive reinforcement.  Anytime Riley starts pulling we stop walking - she has to either sit or stop and look at us to continue when she gets her release command "okay". …"

"IMO, one should never "correct" a dog as others have suggested in this post. Pulling or tugging on a leash (though initially tempting) will only annoy a puppy. It does not teach him anything and will only encourage him to pull more (due to…"

J and Riley (and Luna) replied to ks-man's discussion Dog Walking - Questions, Training Tips, Behavior and Etiquette
"Checked on this, it's mostly for giant breed dogs.  For any dog I think the thing is not to go too far too fast.  Will likely wait until next year with Riley so she will be almost 2."

Leslie, Yogi & Maci Bear replied to ks-man's discussion Indoor exercise for puppy
"When Maci was a puppy, we feared she had giardia. We only had her “go” in one area which I later bleached. Also every time she did poo, I caught it on a paper plate so it didn’t hit the ground.  The effort was worth it to me…"
